Juneau Nature - Natural & cultural history of Juneau & Southeast Alaska

Publications by Discovery staff and friends

Most of the publication categories below are fairly self-explanatory. However, definitions are perhaps in order for some. Books & booklets, due to their size, are better suited to reading at home (or camp!) than on the trail. Laminates & ID guides are more field-worth 4-folds and  guides you can fit in your pocket. Digital trail guides were written for trails in the 10 watersheds we studied under the Juneau Natural History Project, for CBJ. They’re currently formatted for printing on legal-sized (8.5×14-inch) paper, but will ultimately be reconfigured for easier perusal on your smart phoe.

Many of the above publications are available as free downloads from this site. Others are available in bookstores, from Taku Graphics, or from www.discoverysoutheast.org.  Some are temporarily out of print (particularly the older booklets) but we plan revisions and free digital re-release.
